I am excited about the swap next week. I’ll be trimming my sage back, and will have plenty to share. If anyone has advice about maintaining strawberry patches, I’d be glad to hear it.

Gaillardia sounds lovely! I wonder if it would do well in my sunny rain garden?

I can’t believe I missed the first swap!!! Actually, I can believe it–because I’ve been so busy that I’ve hardly had time to be in the garden, which is where I was at 10 AM this morning. I’ll be there next week.

Let’s hope for some sun! My offerings include sage, strawberry plants and lemongrass. I’ll only dig up strawberries and lemongrass if there is interest — please post if you want some. I am seeking perennials suitable for a rain garden: bee balm, native grasses, more black-eyed susans, and so on. Also, and advice about rain gardens would be highly appreciated! I’d also be very interested in swapping work!

The rain must have kept people away! I stood, sage in hand, ready to swap. At 10:15, I swapped it from my left hand to my right.

OK — I never seem to be free Saturday mornings. I would welcome contact via email (ellenmor@comcast.net) if anyone wants any of the following:

A soaker hose
Soaker hose ring for shrubs/trees
Lemongrass (cut for cooking or divided — my clump is small, but more than I need)
Chives (same as above)
Mint — can’t remember the type (same as above — but the clump’s not so small!)
Thyme (cooking only)
Hosta — lots of plain green, but some fancy ones too
Lysmachia — the creeping chartruese one. Awesome ground cover
Vinca minor or English Ivy
Gooseneck Loosestrife
Black-eyed Susan
Catmint (not nip)
